much of our 70 year history is rooted in ensuring children and young people have access to sport, adventure and creative opportunities. Our commitment to providing access to life enriching opportunities is undiminished. Our competitions and partcipation events enable young people to experience new things, stretch horizons and imaginations. Through shared experience young people enjoy and achieve.

"Our young people love all the activities Kent Youth organises.
We can't do them all but we look forward to seeing what is going on"
Eastry Youth Action Group, Dover

Our positive activities programme is part of our connect programme are delivered at three different levels -

  • county-wide competitions, events and opportunities
  • sub-county programmes (East, West and Mid Kent, and Medway)
  • localised opportunities in specific children and young people's groups

Affiliated groups receive an annual programme of these opportunities which are advertised again each month through a regular mailing of posters and flyers.

We welcome the stimulus that the London 2012 Olympic Games will bring to the development of sport of young people in Kent and Medway. Provided that the traditional strengths of voluntary organisations such as Kent Youth are embraced, we have an unprecedented ppportunity to encourage and engage every young person in Kent and Medway.
